Block Calls & Caller ID

PrivacyStar is the only service to tell you who is calling and why. With real-time caller ID, call blocking, automatic scam blocking, complaint filing against unwanted calls, reverse number lookup and directory assistance – you get complete control over your incoming call experience. PrivacyStar is the #1 source of call complaints filed with the FTC, helping to put a stop to the worst callers that bother you.

The PrivacyStar application now features an enhanced call log to give you more information and more control than is supplied with your Android smartphone, automatically identifying the numbers you don't know by name and by type.

Incoming calls will be prominently flagged with one of the following notifications:

Green: For callers not in the address book and not known to be telemarketers or debt collectors

Yellow: A suspected telemarketer or debt collector, but not on the PrivacyStar list of reported offenders

Red: For callers who are telemarketers or debt collectors that are on the PrivacyStar list of reported offenders

Scammer: Known scammers, calls and texts from these numbers will be automatically blocked before reaching the user and a notification will alert the user that a scammer has been blocked

The free PrivacyStar service for Android includes:
• Automatic detection and blocking of scam calls and texts (ScamBlock)
• Unlimited call blocking
• Unlimited text blocking*
• Real-Time Caller ID (limited)
• Text ID (limited)

• Advanced customization of CallCenter

* Due to changes in the Android system, the free text blocking feature is not available on Android version 4.4 and higher.
**Real time Caller ID requires a network connection.

Its a good app. I want to purchase it for the whole year when i go and press on the yearly deal for 19.99 all i get is a blank screen the transaction doesnt go through. I would give it 5 stars if that problem can be fixed.

It doesn't worth the payment problems, and instability of this app. Have you tried truecaller? It's cheaper, better and the complaint you can do it through the FTC website...

Calls go through as always. It like Privacy Star doesnt recognize that there's an incoming call.

Not sure why people are complaining about a subscription when this app is free??? I'm on the do not call registry and was getting multiple calls a day from telemarketers, scammers and debt collectors looking for other people. Since installing the app, I have had none of those people call me! It's been great!

That's questionable. They lure you with the promise of a free app that will automatically block unsolicited calls...for a time. Suddenly you have to upgrade. Use your phones built-in spam and/or number blocking feature. Don't bother with this crap.
